Being a food connoisseur, I like to explore restaurants and experiment sometimes. And in that voyage, I came across a Vegan restaurant, the first one that interested me with its elaborate spread is mentioned further. But that increased my liking of vegan preparation, and along with going to restaurants, I even started making some dishes myself. You can find those recipes on my blog. But today I would be sharing with you some of my to-go places for wholesome vegan smears.
Why are Vegan Restaurants Different?
Veganism, or vegan cuisine, is the idea that abstains not only from animal meat but any product obtained from animals, which also includes milk and other dairy products. And Vegan restaurants follow strict plant-based recipes, abstaining from any animal-derived products.
Of course, there are many cafes serving coffee with vegan milk options, but they won't be able to offer you a wide spread. The vegan restaurant specially crafts menus to suit the Vegan taste buds. They have guilt-free flavor boost in varied cuisines like Indian, Continental, Italian, etc., so without further ado, 5 places you can visit to indulge yourself in the green gourmet spreads.
5 Places With Delicious Plant-Based Spreads to Elevate Your Meals
1. Thank Gourd:
This is one of our to-go cafes, it's a cozy place in Versova Andheri with two-level seating. The overall vibe is comfortable and soothing, and they have an elaborate Vegan menu ranging from Asian, Continental, and Italian. My personal favorite here is Spinach-Mushroom Ravioli and Green Thai Curry, and in sweets, their Banana bread is my favourite. Well, there are many options you are free to try, especially their coolers. I feel they can be your summer aid
2. Aharveda- Vegan & Beyond:
This was recommended to me by my friend, and it's her favorite place, which is located near Andheri West station. Their ambiance is classic restaurant style, giving a traditional vibe a point. What I liked most was their cutlery. I wouldn't name a favourite as all their dishes were deliciously crafted with care. They have an extensive, scrumptious spread from Indian main courses, a variety of meal bowls, exotic salads, drinks, soups, Italian options, an Asian assortment, and desserts, all vegan-made and gluten-free. If you want to enjoy a lavish meal, this is your stop.
3. Rose&Joe Cafe:
Another cozy setup in Versova Andheri serving Vegan food with a carefully crafted menu keeping in mind the customers' needs. This cafe is more than just a cafe; it's a place to find kind and welcoming people. Their food is a blend of simplicity and taste to perfection; they even host some activities and events if you would like to be a part of them. If you are a soul feeling out of place, this is your stop to find the right food and people.
4. Garde Manger Cafe:
Another one of our regulars, Garde Manger Cafe, situated in Vile Parle, is a cozy and rustic space. Their menu is crafted to cater to the Continental and Italian dishes taste buds with melting smoothies and fulfilling bowls to the mix. My favourite here would be the Mock Meat Soya burger, and the classic hot chocolate in almond milk.
5. Earth Cafe:
The Earth Cafe is a Vegan Cafe Chain that started in 2019. It is located in various locations. The one I visited was in Juhu, and there is another one in BKC. The overall ambiance of the cafe is classic and elegant, also making you feel cozy. Their menu is elaborate, a combination of Italian and Continental cuisine with some Korean Dishes to spice up the mix. I am a fan of their Keto Lasagna and Risotto. So if you wanna indulge in exotic and nourishing delicacies, this is the place.
Well, other than these 5 restaurants, there are two places I once visited and liked a lot; they are not exclusively Vegan but serve Vegan options. They are Millo and Burma Burma in Lower Parel, both of whose menus are a mix of Pan-Asian, Italian, and Continental cuisine. In Millo, I enjoyed their Sushi options and the Baked Cheese Cake, whereas in Burma Burma, we enjoyed their classic Burmese khow Suey. That was from my side, guys, hope you also enjoy these places as I did!

Many vegan spots also focus on sustainability, organic produce, and cruelty-free sourcing to align with ethical values.
2. Are vegan restaurants healthy?
Ans) Yes, most vegan restaurants offer nutrient-rich meals full of vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds. These foods are high in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. However, like any cuisine, balance matters — some vegan dishes can be fried or processed, so choosing whole-food options is key.
